Here are some ways you can include us in your plans and become a member of The 1934 Society.

NAME THE MATAWAN-ABERDEEN FIRST AID SQUAD AS A BENEFICIARY OF YOUR IRA OR OTHER QUALIFIED RETIREMENT PLAN, INSURANCE POLICY, OR BANK ACCOUNT.

For many, retirement funds can be the most highly taxed assets owned, as the funds can be subject to both estate and income taxes. The Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad is tax-exempt, so your bequest of a retirement fund can pass to the squad tax-free.

  • When you name the Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad as a beneficiary of your life insurance policy, the assets pass to the squad tax-free.

  • You can name the Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad as a beneficiary on a bank or brokerage account through a “Pay on Death” or “Transfer on Death” option. Accounts that pass to the Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad in this manner will not be included in probate.

Making a bequest is the easiest way to support the Squad because it allows you to maintain control over your assets during your lifetime. An unrestricted bequest allows the Matawan-Aberdeen First Aid Squad to the funds for the organizations priorities at the time the gift is received. We will also accept restricted bequest to our endowment.
